301 Redirects

Most AEM sites use 'ACS AEM Commons' package.

Go to Redirect Map Manager tool.

Upload a text file of redirects (Source Target).

This configures the underlying Sling Resource Resolver or Apache Rewrite Maps automatically.

Page Properties > Basic > Vanity URL.

Enter a short alias (e.g., /promo).

This usually creates a 301, but check your dispatcher configuration to be sure.
